ABOUT  DEPARTMENT

 The department of Civil Engineering is established in the year 1983. It is running a U.G. Course in Civil and a P.G. course in Structural Engineering.

            The department is having highly qualified & well experienced faculty members. About 12 Laboratories in various specializations in Civil engineering forms an excellent infrastructural facility. The department is having a tradition of excellence in academics. Students are encouraged to appear for various competitive examinations such as GATE an public Service Commission Examinations in civil as sell as engineering services. This Year around 23 students have been qualified for MPSC Engineering services examination.

            Students overwhelmingly participate in various co-curricular as well as extra curricular activities, such as paper presentation, competition, elocution, debate competition and various sports events.

            This year about 75% of the passing out students were given jobs through campus interviews, by the placement cell of the department.

            The department renders testing facilities and consultancy services to society since inception of the Institute. “National Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Project” sponsored by the ‘Central Pollution Control Board’ of Government of India is being run by the department for the tenth consecutive year.

            The department is awarded a grant of Rs.6 lakhs under Research promotion Scheme of AICTE  New Delhi.
