The activities started with celebration of ‘Teachers’ day’. The day was celebrated on 5^th September 2011 which is an epitome of teacher student relation in our college. The senior students taught the junior students and had an experience of being a teacher. The students felicitated all the faculty and non-teaching staff on this occasion.

Debate competition, essay competition, elocution competition, quiz competition and software contest were the main events which marked the “Engineers Week” in September 2010. On 15^th September we celebrated Engineers’ day in the memories of great civil engineer Dr. M. Visvesvaraya. Hon. Mr. Yatin Shah, Managing Director, Precision Camshafts Ltd. Solapur was the chief guest and Hon.Mr.Bharat Ayyangar, Ex-Manager, Shivaji Works Ltd. was the guest of honour.

Ganesh Utsav was celebrated for 5 days with special organization of Rangoli and Mehandi competitions. The students formed “Lezim Pathak” and performed with great enthusiasm in “Ganesh Visarjan” rally.

W.I.T. participated in inter college Youth Festival organized by Solapur University at Sangola College Sangola. About one hundred colleges from various parts of district participated in the Youth Festival. There were total 28 competitions related to stage events, music, fine arts and literature in the Youth Festival. W.I.T. bagged 5 prizes. WIT also participated in the Youth Festival ‘Jallosh’, organized by Rotaract Club, Solapur and won four prizes, with ‘General Championship’.

Kamini Gandhi Institute of Fashion organized a competition of ‘Fashion Show’-‘Srujan’. WIT students won first prize in this competition.The Annual Cultural program at WIT Atharva-2011 was arranged on 17^th January, 2011. Over 250 students participated with full enthusiasm in variety of entertaining programs including Songs, Skits, Dances, and Mimicry etc.

UTSAV 2011 :

          Annual cultural event UTSAV-2011 was celebrated during 24-27 Feb. 2011. All the faculty and staff members of W.I.T. worked a lot to make this Event Great Success. “Utsav-11” was full of programs like Personality Contest, Geetmala, Tug-of War, Antakshari, W.I.T Idol, Fun Fair with Duet dance, Shayari competition and prize distribution ceremony. In these competitions the upcoming directors, dancers, singers and other talented youth were awarded with prizes.
