Computer Club
The Computer Club, a society run by the students under staff Coordinator Prof. R.B. Kulkarni is a part of W.I.T. that the college runs for the all round development of students.
According to the computer club the most important growth factor has been “Providing value to students & working to achieve excellence in work.” Students are nurtured and made to excel at global scenario. Keeping a global vision has helped us in maintaining a unique approach. The objective of the club is to help students
To maintain high professional and ethical standards in the edu-cation and corporate world. The society also aims at
· Preparing students for global competitiveness. · Developing of HR &other innovative initiatives in technical education. · Providing all round development to students in all educational & non-educational fields.
Under the guidance of PROF. R.B. Kulkarni the year started with the enrollment of new members and this year 115 members are enrolled. The organizing committee elected from members for coordinating the chapter activities The committee is as follows:
Students Activities: This Year the activities kicked off with an Article Writing Competition on the topic of VISION WIT-06. The response was quite appreciable.
The second event was a Quiz Competition aimed at increasing general knowledge & competitive power of students. Due to clash with several other activities going on the response was not as good as expected.
Third activity was a “LINUX WORKSHOP ” for TE & BE students of CSE | IT | E&C | ELN trades to make them aware of the current scenario in the IT industry and teaching them to work on the Linux platform which is having a steadfast growth in the IT corporate sector.
In addition there was a “C PROGRAMMING WORKSHOP” for students of FE class (all branches) to impart them computer education and help them in becoming aspiring technical hand in the near future. The response was huge and many more such classes will be continued in the future. The last event this session was an APTITUDE TEST with a view to make students aware of the industrial scenario and makes them acquainted with the selection criterion. The test was conducted as a take home test at individual level. As the year of Computer Club activities had started off with good events and Programs for the students & they have shown keen interest in the activities we hope to continue with the same enthusiasm & innovative ideas for the coming years.
