NSSThe National Service Scheme is the scheme of Government of India. This is the scheme for Social Service through academic institutes. The main objective of N.S.S. is personality development of students through social service.
The scheme is in operation in our institute since 1997-98. This year N.S.S. Unit strength is 100. The N.S.S. Committee comprised of following members.

N.S.S. activities started with inaugural function held on Monday, 11/10/2004 Eminent Journalist & Philosopher Dr.Vivek Ghalsasi was the Chief Guest for the function. Chief guest of the function have suggested various activities for N.S.S. students and explained importance of N.S.S. in college life.
Another activity under the scheme, was a lecture on `Public Speaking & Communication Skill’ by Zameer Shroff (Young Industrialist & Social Worker) on 8th Feb. 2005. Programme received a big response and students found it very useful. Students were also trained through ‘Art of Living’ organization with a course called ‘Young Adults’ 174 students participated in the course.
Another major activity organized was “Blood Donation Camp” which was held on Thursday, 3rd March 2005. This year we have invited three blood banks namely Shri C.S.M. General Hospital Blood Bank, Damani Blood Bank, Dr.Hedgewar Blood Bank, Solapur. Tremendous response was observed and highest ever blood donation was obtained with a record of 616 bottles. Thus our students have maintained a tradition of making a record and shown the feelings of WITIAN’s towards society.
We have also organized a technical exhibition “Technology for Common Man” in “Sthapatya 2005” from 7th to 9th Jan. 2005. and “6th Maharashtra State Sinchan Parishad” from 5th to 8th Feb. 2005.
