Student Activities
The staff members from the department have contributed for smooth conduct of departmental activities. During the year some equipments/ experimental set ups are added to 'Thermodynamics' and 'Energy Engineering ' labs. The lectures by our pass out students, who have shown extra-ordinary performance outside either in the industrial field or higher education, are arranged for the benefit of final year students to have career guidance and motivation.
The remarkable number of students from department participated in various paper presentation competitions and some of them bagged the prizes.
The staff of the department have taken special effort to upgrade themselves in areas of high tech and in the areas of their specialization

GATE Score
The number of students appering for GATE examination is increasing gradually. This year the following regular students of depart- ment have scored in the GATE examination as follows.

2. Mr. Desai Yogesh B. - BE (Mech) - Score in Mech. Engg. - 85.85
INDUSTRIAL TOURS AND VISITS
i) BE(Mech)- Visit to MSR TC divisional workshop at Solapur in oct
2004. Visits to ’Hotel Tripur Sundari’, ’Govt. Milk Scheme’, Au-tomobile Work-shops & Vehicle Service Stations in March/April 2005. The visits are also completed for some Industrial Units in MIDC & industrial Area. Total 08 visits are completed.
ii) TE(Mech)- Industrial visit to KOEL Casting Devision, Laxmi Foun-dry etc. from Solapur. (4 Local Visits) Industrial Tour to Koyananagar Satara & Chalkewadi wind farm.
iii)SE(Mech)- Two Local visits to foundries. Industrial Tour to Parali Vaijanath Thermal Power Plant Oct. 2004. Industrial Tour to Hydrabad March 2005.
MESA Activities:
The MESA activities for the year started with Inaugaral Lecture by Mr. M.L. Jollori, General Manager NAVCOM Oil Indutries Ltd. Solapur. After this the lecture of Mr. Sachin Porlikar from Kolhapur was arranged on CAD MAX. Mr. Avinash Kanade from Forbes Marshal PUNE delivers expert lecture on ’Steam Engineering’.
The GK & Apptitude tests was conducted under the coordination of Mr. Rahul Shah & Mr. Yogesh Shingte. The MESA also organized the felisipation of the department alumni Mr. Amit Nilawar & Mr. Imran Shaikh for geting the addmition in Burlin University for post Graduate Course.
